The new U.S. Consul General Mr. Mark Stroh took charge in Karachi in August 2021. To welcome and introduce the American Business Council of Pakistan to Mr. Mark Stroh, ABC hosted a high-profile reception where Executive Committee Members and Subcommittee Chairs/Co-Chairs met with the Consul General, U.S. Consulate’s Economic Chief Mr. Brian Bedsworth and Economic Specialist Ms. Mahreen Kashif Ghayas at the ABC Secretariat on 3rd September, 2021.
Industry experts and business leaders present discussed strategies to increase the footprint and impact of American companies in Pakistan. Several ABC members revealed that their businesses have grown despite the pandemic, and shared that Pakistan’s economic potential has significantly improved in the last decade. Mr. Stroh reinforced the support of the U.S. Mission to continue working with The Council and facilitate alleviating challenges faced within & across industries.
